Gilligan's Demise

Gilligan's Demise

by

Ben and Mike Flynn were on their way home after buying five new appaloosa mares from his uncle in Jackson Hole. Things were going well enough if you didn’t have the spring flooding to contend with. There were times when they had to detour up to twenty miles to stay dry. Taking the opportunity of a small town and the chance to eat a meal they didn’t have to fix, they took a short break. Two men in the saloon seemed to be taking an unusual amount of interest in Ben and Mike. The bartender created a ruckus by refusing any more service due to his policy of no Irish in his saloon.
Words were said, but it was the man’s saloon, and he had the right to refuse service. The two curious by standers were soon forgotten, One of the two showed up later in Rock Springs, and he made suspicious effort to disappear. While Ben considered following him, the other man used a rifle butt on the back of Ben’s head. With Patty Anne’s valuable new mares to care for, Ben and Mike were very cautious until they were on the train and headed for home.
Life went back to normal for several weeks, until young Clint Morgan came to Ben, telling him that Mike Flynn was… gone!
Ride along with Ben and others of the MB connected, as they do what they can to get Mike home, and they make sure he stays where he belongs.
